David E. Self:

Funeral services for David Edgar Self, 78, were held at 3 p.m., March 27, in the Assembly of God Church in Hornbeck, with the Rev. E. T. Phelps, and the Rev. Earnest Lord officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home.

He died March 25, 1969 in a Leesville nursing home.

Survivors are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Edna King of Mission, Texas, Mrs. Mildred Self of Mountain View, California, and Mrs. Eva Davis of Hornbeck; three sons, R. Self of Donna, Texas, Gerald Self of McAllen, Texas and Floyd Self of Brunswick, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Nina Conerly of Beaumont, and Mrs. Marie Wilson of Milam, Texas; three brothers, Homer Self of Hornbeck, Louisiana, Harry Self of Pasadena, Texas, and C. C. Self of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; 17 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
